Jessica Willis - Equine Photographer

My love of horses started long before I ever held a camera, and in my opinion, is the most vital element of my success as an equine photographer. In order to photograph a horse in a way that really captures it's spirit, freedom, compassion and beauty, you have to have some understanding of those things, and how horses express themselves. To be able to properly portray the horse, you have to be able to feel how the horse is feeling, to be able to capture the emotion that the horse is portraying.

I began falling in love with photography in 2000 when I acquired my first digital camera - a Canon Powershot A70. I took the camera everywhere, including several horse shows and dog shows where I began a capturing the beauty of animals in motion, animals doing what they do best and enjoying what they do. I captured the bond between animal and owner, and the magic that is shared between them. In 2005, my Canon suffered an untimely death by water, and it was replaced with a Nikon CoolPix 4100. Thus began my first foray in Nikon's photography equipment.

I purchased my current camera, the Nikon D200, in mid-April of 2007, after finding the point & shoot digitals inadequate in fast action photography and close ups. It wasn't until later that year that I began to seriously consider a profession in photography after being approached by several horse enthusiasts and owners in search of photographic services. Unbridled Imagery was born in June of that same year.

As a photographer, I offer high quality photographs at reasonable prices without the hassle and fuss of a high-stress photo session. My sessions usually vary in time, sometimes close to three hours in length, as I seek to capture your horse in it's natural element, exhibiting the natural personality that makes your horse unique. The end result is a photograph that you can cherish for a lifetime that captures your animals' vibrant spirit.

If you would like more information about what to expect from a session, or would like see about booking a session of your own, please contact me through the websites contact form, or directly at 770 296 1971. I look forward to working with you soon.

I thought you might like to know how much my Daughter loves her picture. Last night, she was fighting going to sleep. She was laying in her bed staring up smiling and my husband asked what she was doing. She said, "Looking at my pretty horsie!" The photo is hanging right over her bed. :) - Kathryn of Connecticut
